Open Source Licenses
Last updated: June 10, 2026
The Phalangix Launcher and SeaWar Sandbox V1 are built with open-source and third-party software. We are grateful to the people behind these projects. This page summarises the main components and the licenses we honour. The full, unabridged license texts are included with the launcher and game so they travel with the software, as the licenses require.
Phalangix Launcher
The launcher is a desktop application built on the following, among other components:
- Electron - MIT License. Copyright (c) Electron contributors and the OpenJS Foundation.
- Chromium and its bundled libraries - BSD-3-Clause and other compatible licenses, as distributed with Electron.
- Node.js - MIT License and the licenses of its bundled dependencies.
- React and React DOM - MIT License. Copyright (c) Meta Platforms, Inc. and affiliates.
- Framer Motion, Lucide icons, and other UI libraries - MIT License.
- Additional npm packages used at build and runtime, licensed under MIT, BSD-2-Clause, BSD-3-Clause, Apache-2.0, and ISC.
A complete, generated list of every bundled package and its license text is available from inside the launcher (Settings, Open Source Licenses).
SeaWar Sandbox V1
The game is made with the Unity engine.
- Unity engine and editor packages - used under the Unity Software terms. Unity's own third-party component notices are included in the game files (a "Third-Party Notices" document distributed with the build).
- Fonts and any audio or visual components that ship under their own licenses are used under those licenses, with attribution preserved in the game files where required.
