Everything that changed in SeaWar Sandbox V1, the Phalangix Launcher, and the website since launch: the Android version, seamless launcher updates, save persistence, and more.

Since SeaWar Sandbox V1 went live at the end of May, we have not stopped. The game, the launcher, and this website all picked up real improvements in the first weeks. Here is a clear rundown of everything that changed, in one place.

The game

  • SeaWar Sandbox V1 now runs on Android. The same free open-sea naval combat sandbox, with controls rebuilt for touch. There is a dedicated post on this coming shortly.
  • Your progress now sticks across updates. Save profiles are stored in a stable location, so future updates keep your captain, your ships, and your progress.
  • Smoother visuals on mobile. Water and lighting on phones and tablets now match the look they were always meant to have.
  • Touch and camera fixes. Tapping ships and allies is more forgiving, and the camera no longer jumps when you pan after recentering.

The launcher

  • Updates are now seamless. When a new version is ready, the launcher updates itself on start, on a clean branded screen, with no raw installer windows to click through.
  • Simpler settings. One Auto-update switch, plus a manual Check button that tells you straight away when you are already up to date.
  • Legal at a glance. The Settings panel now links the License (EULA) and Open Source Licenses pages directly.
  • Correct version shown in the launcher, plus a batch of stability fixes under the hood.

The website

  • Android downloads. The download page now offers both the Windows installer and the Android version, and shows the right one for the device you are on.
  • Download safety. Every download now lists a SHA-256 checksum so you can verify the file you got is exactly the one we published, plus a short guide for the Windows SmartScreen prompt.
  • New legal pages. A product EULA and an Open Source Licenses page, both linked in the footer.
  • More to read. News posts can now be scheduled, so expect a steadier stream of articles, devlogs, and history pieces.

That is the first chapter after launch. SeaWar Sandbox V1 is free on the download page, on Windows and Android. The best place to catch the next update the moment it lands is the Phalangix Discord, linked in the footer. Thank you for sailing with us.
